In conjunction of our very first exhibition: #WorkInProgress - Reviving Western Calligraphy and Lettering we are holding this Taster Workshop jointly organised by Scribblers Collective and National Library Board.

DESCRIPTION

In this lesson, students will be introduced to tools and concepts used in contemporary calligraphy. They will be taught how to use the tools, which would be a refreshing break from the usual pen and pencils used in schools, and will be shown how to write alphabets in a calligraphy-style.

  • All other materials (brush pens) provided are for in-class use only.

Nathaniel @Nathanielong is Scribblers Collective's Principal Handletterer. He draws words and strategically manages the placement of the different lettering styles which sometimes includes brush lettering, flourishes, decorative elements and more.
